Well, here’s a fun little thing that just crossed my desk: Kasia Pure-Essence in Grounded. It’s a “handcrafted botanical fragrance” that uses only plant-based ingredients. That means no chemicals, synthetic scents, or man-made additives. This means there’s also no alcohol, phthalates, parabens or other scary words we have been hearing lately surrounding the beauty industry. In case you don’t know, Kasia is an organic salon and spa in Minneapolis, and its owner, Kassie Kuehl, has been whipping up lovely organic and natural spa and beauty products…I have been a fan of all the ones I have tried thus far.
The rollerball perfume is no exception. The therapeutic-grade essential oils included in this particular blend are: patchouli (alleviates anxiety and brings focus), sandalwood (relieves stress, gives strength), frankincense (calms and improves concentration), bergamot (relieves nervous energy and encourages contentment), and cedarwood (combats nervous tension and boosts positivity). I think a lot of people get hung up on whenever patchouli is mentioned, but when it’s done well it smells warm and soft…like if cashmere had a scent. The bergamot is just citrus-y enough to lift the deeper, muskier patchoili and frankincense.
It’s a lovely scent—I think both men and women could wear it! And perfect for cozying up this fall/winter. And because it’s a rollerball, it’s perfect for on-the-go travel or to stick in your purse. Smell good, be safe.
