Saturday through Dec. 27: Carter Smith at Textile Center: A selection of colorful, one-of-a-kind dyed silk scarves garments and décor from shibori artist Carter Smith is on display and available for purchase this fall at Textile Center. Shibori is an ancient Japanese art form similar to tie-dye, and involves binding, folding, and twisting cloth to create unique patterns. Through Nov. 2: Shop Save Share Fundraiser: Holders of the Shop Save Share card, from the Junior League of Minneapolis, will get a 20% discount at a variety of Minneapolis businesses. Card sales support Junior League programs that work to close the achievement gap in Minneapolis. Participating businesses include Kokoon, Bluebird Boutique, and D.NOLO.
