It’s this Friday night. You’ve got on your best cocktail attire, holding forth on Hennepin as you await your entrance. But not to the Cowles. Or the Orpheum. Oh, it’s actually to Crave, and you’re awaiting your star turn on the pink carpet. [Insert needle-coming-off-the-record sound here.] Hold up—pink? What happened to red?
Susan G. Komen happened to red, that’s what. Here’s the deal: Crave is shutting down its entire operation for the evening to host a giant fundraiser, in support of finding the cure for breast cancer. Walk the Pink Carpet and possibly get interviewed by hosts Laura Schara and Christopher Hopkins—yes, wearing pink is encouraged—and be prepared to talk about what (or in fashion parlance, “who”) you’re wearing.
Once inside, Ignite models will strut the catwalk in pink fashion from local designers Emma Berg, Max Lohrbach, Gina Marie Vintage, Joynöelle, Needle and Black, and accessories from SBG Designs (and Neiman Marcus). Plus, while you wear pink and raise funds, you can also dine on tasty sushi and other Crave favorites while you groove to DJ Sye Young, Jezus Juice, or Alicia Wiley.
