Two Kinds of Glam

There have been a few good shopping and fashion announcements this week, and I wanted to get them to you straightaway!

It's only May and the ink is barely dry on the unveiling of the first round of the Shops at Target collaborations (see my writeup and the accompanying photo), and already Target is announcing its next lovely lineup. Fashionistas will be excited to see Kirna Zabete's name (for women's clothing and acccessories) on the latest round of cheap-chic collaborations, as is Odin for men, gifty items from The Curiosity Shoppe, and home décor from Patch NYC. Debuts September 9.

Then, Macy's announced their inspiration behind this year's Glamorama: The British Invasion. The annual event, called The British Invasion: The Music Then. The Fashion Now!, benefits the Children's Cancer Research Fund is always a scene of fashionistas and philanthropists, with a runway show and concert, all rolled into one. The Invasion is one of my favorite times in history, so I can't wait to see how the accents and fashion and music all come together on this one! No announcements yet on performers, but the Orpheum should be rockin' that night. Friday, August 3, with the fashion show at the Orpheum and the afterparty on the rooftop of Macy's. Get ticket information here.
