Can you feel it? This last weekend was our unofficial official spring opener. Everyone who we haven’t seen for months was pouring out of their houses out into the beautiful Sunday and going around visiting neighbors, sitting on front steps, bike riding, and even enjoying a meal al fresco.
The round of showers this week is sure to equal an explosion of green, and shimmery open water. We lake-loving Minnesotans are counting the days—even the minutes—until we can put on our shorts and sundresses and get out on the water again. Boy, are we are ready to wear the big summer floral patterns and icy pastels we are seeing this Spring, and to put away the boots we lived in for what seemed like never ending months.
Today at work, Annie, the stylist assistant, had a beautiful sunny yellow shirt on with white skinny jeans and bright yellow sandals—a vision of sunshine! Annie smiles and dances a lot too, so really her clothes matched her personality, but I realized how happy we all were to see color again, and in particular, to see sandals!
