Design Within Reach Opens at Galleria: Nearly four years after shuttering its Uptown location, modern furniture retailer Design Within Reach reopens at Edina’s Galleria this week. The 18,000-square-foot store is larger and grander than its predecessor, with 40 room vignettes and “Minnesota House,” a series of rooms designed to evoke a luxury lake house. MartinPatrick3 End of Summer Party: MartinPatrick3 is marking the end of summer and beginning of fall with a three-day event showcasing several of the brands it carries. On Thursday, representatives from menswear brand Eidos and luxury suiting label Isaia will launch their fall and winter collections. Minnstafashion: Fashion Week Kickoff: Kick off Minnesota’s Fashion Week in style at Minnstafashion, the week’s official kickoff party. Nordstrom Rack Opens at IDS: Nordstrom’s off-price sister store, Nordstrom Rack, opens its fifth Minnesota location this weekend at the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis. The 39,000-square-foot, two-level store fills the long-vacant former Gap and GapKids spaces in the Crystal Court. The store will offer savings on brands such as Kate Spade, Hugo Boss, Joie, and Vince at 30 to 70 percent off, mobile check-out, and access to the Nordstrom Rack Hautelook mobile app to easily locate and order items not available in the store. The grand opening will kick off at 8 a.m. on Thursday with music, coffee, and breakfast treats, and customers can enter for a chance to win one of 30 $100 gift cards, plus one lucky customer will win a $1,000 shopping spree and early access to shop the store. Joynoelle Studio Sale: Local fashion designer, Joy Teiken, is hosting a sale at her south Minneapolis atelier and boutique. FGI presents Fall: Into Luxury: Fashion Group International of Minneapolis-St. Paul hosts their annual fall fashion show as part of Fashion Week MN’s official lineup. Styled by Richard Anderson, the show features women’s looks from June, Bumbershute, Atelier957, Second Debut Renewed Fashions, and Project Runway Season 16 contestant, Samantha Rei, accessorized by Milana Stile, Stephanie Lake Design, and Gretchen Ventura Jewelry. by Niche presents Northern Vogue: One of the most dynamic events of Fashion Week MN this fall, Northern Vogue features collections by four local clothing brands on a 300-foot-long, two-tier runway. Lines include House of Gina Marie, GrasMark Menswear, Winsome Goods, and Fantasme Collection, a collaboration by Jeannine Cavallo, Lindsey Higgens, and Sara Goldfine.
