This Mother’s Day, skip the Hallmark card and opt for an experience that will make her feel like a queen for a day. In honor of Mom’s day, revamp! SalonSpa in Uptown has introduced a new service, the Four-Hands Facial, that’s guaranteed to be a hit among moms and non-moms alike.
“Facial” is something of a misnomer, as it’s much more than just a facial—it’s a head-to-toe experience, packed into one hour of pure relaxation. Not one, but two service providers are at work at once, so multiple parts of the body are undergoing revitalizing treatment at the same time. It also cuts down on time—what would be a 90-minute treatment, if performed by a single service provider, down to 60 minutes.
Leah Simon-Clarke of Extrados fame helped create this offering when the skincare and brow expert folded her business into reVamp! in 2016. At the time, reVamp! was primarily a salon, but Simon-Clarke helped made it into a destination for spa services and skincare as well, introducing Eminence, a high-end, natural skincare line made in Hungary with fresh fruit pulps, plants, and exotic spices, which makes them not only incredibly rich in nutrients, but also effective and results-oriented.
I was recently invited into the spa to try the service (which is on special for Mother’s Day for $139 through May 13), and it did not disappoint. The Four-Hands Facial begins with a gentle warm steam treatment applied to the face by machine, which is not only relaxing, but helps to relax the face muscles, weaken blackheads and whiteheads, and clear pores. As the steam pours out, the esthetician begins by washing the face with Eminence Magnosteen Daily Resurfacing Cleanser. The cleanser brightens, hydrates, and smooths the skin—its ingredients include lactic acid, which dissolves dead skin cells and removes build-up from the skin and red clover flower extract helps correct enlarged pores, while ribose promotes the production of collagen and elastic in the skin.

Mangosteen is the newest product line from Eminence. The new product line, now on backorder at the spa after selling out its initial run—features the super-fruit mangosteen as its key ingredient, which protects skin from environmental damage while promoting natural radiance.
The cleansing is followed by exfoliation, a customized facial mask, and extractions to continue to remove build-up and resurface the skin for a glowing complexion. While most of its product line is for sale to the public, Eminence’s Mangosteen Lactic Pro Peel is a professional-only yet gentle alpha-hydroxy exfoliant you can only experience during a spa visit. The Four-Hands Facial culminated with pressure point–relieving work, a massage of the decollate, neck, shoulder, and face areas, and a hot oil scalp treatment with hot towels. If you fall in love with the mangosteen product line, you can purchase the cleanser and concentrate to take home.
About one-quarter into the experience, a second service provider appeared to massage my arms, hands, legs, and feet with oil while my facial continued. Getting massaged literally from head to toe with four hands is an experience unlike any other, and is sure to leave you feeling as refreshed and glowing as I did.
