TEXTURE: Adult Sewing Workshop

Finally learn how to sew in this eight-week adult course, TEXTURE, hosted by the The ANIKA Foundation. The class takes place every Wednesday, beginning this week, and provides sewing machines as well as any other supplies needed. Every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. @ The Robbins Urban Wellness Retreat, 3900 North Thomas Ave., Minneapolis. Walker Art Center’s Terrace Thursdays: Summer Muses

Stop by the Walker Art Center on Thursday for a creative night celebrating music and art. Gallery admission will be free in the evening to explore exhibits including Allen Ruppersberg: Intellectual Property 1968-2018, Jason Moran, The Way Things Go, and I am you, you are too. On the terraces, visual and performance artist Jordan Rosenow will be performing her latest choreography, along with a variety of other performers. Head to Terrace 2 to create your own piece of art with guidance from local visual artist Isa Gagarin. Enjoy music all night long from Nadine‘s  on Terrace 1, City Counselor in the Garden Terrace Room, and Hello Psychaleppo on Terrace 3. Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.@ Walker Art Center, 725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis.

Summer Market 2018

Stop by the Summer Market 2018 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center for a community-centered shopping celebration featuring local small businesses. There will be raffle drawings as well as two grand prize giveaways valued at over $200, plus a cash bar. Shop a wide variety of apparel, beauty, and wellness products from vendors including Young Living, Origami Owl, and LulaRoe.
