Sept. 30-Oct. 3: Mona Williams Private Collection Sale: When couture clothing collector Mary Wangsness of North Oaks passed away this spring, she left behind thousands of designer pieces. Her family donated her collection to this shopping event that benefits local fashion programming. Runway looks and vintage pieces will be available. The event kicks off with a preview party and private shopping day, followed by a free weekend shopping event. Sept. 30: Mall of America Art + Style Series presents “Fall Fashion Live!”: Kicking off a week of MOA sponsored fashion events, this on-the-go fashion showcase starts at the mall and travels on the METRO Blue Line to downtown Minneapolis. New fall looks and trends are featured along the way. Collaborators on the event include ARTS@MSP, Made Here Exhibitions, and Hennepin Theatre District. Oct. 1-3: ASID MN Sample Sale: The American Society of Interior Designers Minnesota chapter hosts this sample sale, which runs for three days at the International Market Square. Designer and one-of-a-kind furnishings will be 50-80% off. Shoppers will also have the opportunity to consult with ASID interior designers throughout the event. Admission and parking are free. Oct. 1 & 3: Camille Hempel Jewelry Open Studio & Sale: Jewelry designer Camille Hempel invites shoppers into her studio for this event, where she will debut several new designs. Older lines will also be on sale for a fraction of the original price. Known for her fashion and engagement rings, Hempel’s work contains whimsical elements and an androgynous feel. Oct. 1: Angels & Divas Gala + Fashion Show: This annual event held in St. Paul’s Lowertown neighborhood includes shopping, a raffle, a silent auction, and a fashion show that benefits the Angel Foundation, an organization that supports adults living with cancer. Oct. 1: Envision runway looks available at Showroom: Showroom designers Kjurek, Tessa Louise, Joeleen Torvick, and ACG recently presented their fall collections at the Envision runway event during Fashion Week MN. Their looks will be available during this in-store event, where shoppers can meet the designers and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Oct. 4: Minneapolis Craft Market kickoff: Starting today, this craft market will be open every weekend through December 20. This month’s venue, which changes each month, is Insight Brewing. The market features ceramics, clothing, fiber arts, jewelry, photography, woodwork, and more. Five percent of proceeds each month are donated to local non-profit arts organizations, in addition to a “scholarship stall” that is awarded to arts students for the opportunity to participate in the market at no cost. Oct. 4: North Loop Fashion Show: This event showcases new fall looks from local boutiques including C’est Chic, MartinPatrick3, Ribnick Fur & Leather, Roe Wolfe, and more. Chow Girls catering will provide brunch at the event, and items from the participating stores will be up for raffle. A percentage of the sales profits will go to the Hope Chest Foundation, which supports Breast Cancer research.
