The Golden Pearl Anniversary Week & Riviera Anniversary Party:

The upscale vintage boutique is celebrating its second anniversary with a week of deals and in-store events. Enjoy pop-ups from other vintage vendors (including Noisy Eye Vintage on Wednesday and Thursday and the Keep and Marianne Bird on Friday) and save 20 percent storewide all week through Saturday. Arc's Value Village Closing Sale: 

In result of losing its lease, Arc's Value Village will close its Brooklyn Center location on Sunday, June 10. Until then, the store is hosting a 50 percent off storewide clearance event. Proceeds benefit The Arc Minnesota programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. (Note, the four other store locations remain in full operation and will not be included in the sale event.) I Am Not My Hair Fashion Show:

Natural black hair and beauty will be celebrated at this fashion show as part of Black Fashion Week, which highlights the work of Minnesota hair stylists of color and black-owned salons and barbershops. Grethen House “Oldies But Goodies” Sale:

In conjunction with the Edina Art Fair, designer women’s fashion boutique, Grethen House, will host a special shopping event at its 50th and France location. The Fitting Room Opens:

After five years of business, Lyn-Lake boutique Showroom has closed. Local maker Talin Spring kicks off a month-long opening at her Spring Finn & Co. studio inspired by the color blue—a color that is tied to her earliest memories in Instanbul as well as the color of the Turkish glass bead that is said to ward off the evil eye. Her studio will be filled with handcrafted items in the shade, from her own designs to those made by other artisans, and antiques gathered from around the globe, during her trips to India, France, Turkey, Morocco, Columbia, Italy, and Japan. North Loop modern goods store, Wilson & Willy’s, hosts an afternoon of shopping and fresh-grilled eats on its back patio. The pop-up includes goods from local brands Red Wing Heritage Women footwear, Riverlife Dry Goods (by local rapper Greg Grease), Dinosaur Hampton embroidered garments, and Kiki Koyote jewelry, plus New York brands Alex Crane and Lowercase NYC, food from Lowry Hill Meats, and DJ Just Nine. Rasta Wear Fashion Affair:

This 11th annual event showcases the fashions, foods, and sounds of Afro-Caribbean culture. Founded by Trinny Cee after moving to St. Paul from Trinidad 11 years ago, Rasta Wear Fashion Affair features fashions by Minnesota-based African-Caribbean brands such as Ruva Afric Wear, Soulspeak Expressions, Ayo-Ma’s Designs, and Gladhouse. The all-ages event, which is hosted in conjunction with Black Fashion Week, features pop-up shopping, performances, and food, and is followed by a reggae and dancehall after-party. This Is What Makes Us Girls Fashion Show:

Shop for a cause at this fashion event co-presented by Threads for Teens Minnesota and The Volk Magazine. Threads for Teens is a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged teen girls build their self-esteem and confidence through gifts of clothing, support, and education. The event features a fashion show and pop-up shopping featuring women’s summer looks from more than ten local brands and boutiques, with 25 percent of proceeds benefiting the nonprofit. Features brands include RHEY Apparel, Anyse Fashion, Coty Clothing Co., WAY the Label, and Ruva Afric Wear. Femme & Fancy Flea Pop-up:

A group of nine local vintage vendors, ceramicists, jewelers, and other makers are coming together for the Femme & Fancy Flea Pop-up, a shopping event featuring all femme-identifying- and genderqueer-owned businesses hosted in the parking lot of woman-owned coffee shop, Canteen. Shop hand-fabricated jewelry by 3 Jäg design, ceramics by A MANO and Meg Brown Ceramics, clothing and accessories by Tandem Vintage, and more.
