The Foundry Home Goods Grand Reopening: After opening in 2012 in a onetime brass and metal foundry in the North Loop, The Foundry has moved to a new location in south Minneapolis. Samantha Rei Fall/Winter 2018 “Vanitas” Collection Presentation: Preview the new collection by Minneapolis-based fashion designer (and Project Runway alum) Samantha Rei up close at this free, gallery-style presentation. The event promises an “interactive gallery experience of birth, death, and rebirth” and features textured brocades, hand-dyed cottons, silk velvet, bead embroider, and faux fur to create the texture and palette of Dutch Vanitas paintings. The Dandies Project 2018: Book Release Party: Since 2014, The Dandies Project has showcased the dapper style and positive influence of Twin Cities men of color through photography.
