Fall Fashion is Here

Don’t feel too left out if you didn’t board a plane to New York City this week for Fashion Week . . . we’ve got so much going on right here in the Twin Cities that it’s tough to decide between all the shows happening this weekend! Here’s a roundup of a few that might pique your interest.

Tonight is the national Fashion’s Night Out. Instigated by none other than Vogue editor Anna Wintour as a way to boost the economy and put the joy back in shopping, the event has spread nationwide.

Fashion’s Night Out at Neiman Marcus, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. TONIGHT

Enjoy complimentary skincare and makeup treatments, take digital photos, and sample food from Cocoa & Fig, D’Amico & Sons, and OM Contemporary Indian Cuisine. Fashion’s Night Out at Galleria, 6 p.m.-10 p.m., TONIGHT

Galleria is going all out. Just a sampling of what’s happening there tonight: Trunk shows, including a Trina Turk show at Melly; an appearance by artist and author David Cook at Len Druskin; fashion accessories demonstrations from Pucci, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexis Bittar, and more at StyledLife. Commemorative Air Force Vintage Fashion Show & Wine Tasting, 6 p.m.-11:30 p.m., TONIGHT

Kick off the evening with a wine tasting including wines from Warehouse Winery and Import Iberia. At 8 p.m., see the fashion show, including items from The Girl Can’t Help It Deluxe Clothing, Twilight Soaps & Gifts, Pacific Shores Stone Works, and Atta Girl by Kedrin. Opening reception for Kevin Kramp at the Textile Center, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., TONIGHT

Kevin Kramp is known for his avant-garde knitwear, which made quite the splash at Voltage this year.  He’s been recognized internationally for his talents, and it’d behoove you to snap up one of his affordable scarves tonight at the Textile Center. It’s the an opening reception for “Mind at Hand,” which features Kramp, and works from fiber artist Allison Roberts and installation artist Lyz Wendland. Northern Grade Ad Hoc Men’s Market at Architectural Antiques, 12 p.m.-7 p.m., Saturday

Local mainstay J.W. Hulme and insta-classic neckwear line Pierrepont Hicks bring a men’s goods show to Northeast on Saturday! The Northern Grade Ad Hoc Men’s Market continues the revival of classic Minnesotan and northern-U.S. brands (“all made in the US of A”) and a revival of menswear in and of itself. There will be loads of goods from Red Wing Shoes, Baldwin Denim, MartinPatrick3, Doane Paper, Steger Mukluks, Duluth Pack, Galen Labs, and more. Stationery Saturdays at Lunalux, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday
