Nov. 28-Dec. 2: Modern Midwest Pop-ups at Shinola North Loop: This pop-up market, co-sponsored by celebrator of local culture Modern Midwest, puts a spotlight on Midwest makers and artisans. With a different maker showcased every day, the market features a variety of handmade items such as tech accessories from Woodchuck and kitchen necessities from Wind and Willow Home. Dec. 1: Uptown MN Ridgedale Center Grand Opening: The MSP Airport shop expands into its first permanent location at Ridgedale Center. Stocking a variety of locally made art, apparel, and other goods, the store puts a focus on supporting Minnesota brands and businesses. At this exclusive event, the store will be offering giveaways, refreshments, and a meet-and-greet with the artists behind the products. Julia Moss Designs will be among the artists in attendance. Dec. 3: Modern Midwest presents Modern Market: For the first Modern Market, Modern Midwest is featuring local artisans and makers who represent the Midwestern lifestyle. Also including locally made snacks and drinks in addition to live music and art, the market will feature work from the Modern Midwest Pop-ups, as well as Parlour Von Kopp, Sota Clothing, and more. Dec. 3: The Golden Rule Collective Holiday Pop-Up Shop: Local artists will showcase their new collections at this pop-up in Excelsior boutique Golden Rule. Sipping on seasonal drinks will make your holiday shopping all the more festive. Jewelry, ceramic, and other artists at the event include Ashley Mary, Britta Kauppila, Kiki Koyote, A MANO, and Missy Monson. (5-8 p.m., The Golden Rule, 350 Water St., Excelsior, facebook.com)

Dec. 3: Fjällräven Exclusive Event @ Fjällräven Grand Avenue: Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven has made quite the splash locally: 3 locations have recently opened within the span of just a few months. The newest location on St. Paul’s Grand Avenue invites you in for a night of shopping, eating, and saving. The first 50 people to RSVP will take 25% off their purchase at the event, while everyone else will save 10%. Food at the event will come from Dixie’s on Grand, French Meadow Bakery, D’Amico and Sons, and Taste of Scandanavia, and Dangerous Man Brewing and Big Watt will provide the beverages. Dec. 4: Crafts at Canteen: Choose from a selection of holiday decorations, home products, jewelry, clothing, vintage and handmade goods, and more at this pop-up boutique in the Minneapolis café and toast bar. The local vendors at the event will include Big River Woodworks, A Jar Mpls, Rank and File Vintage, and Statusfear Media. Canteen will provide some seasonal coffee beverages to sip on while you shop. Dec. 4-5: No Coast Craft-o-Rama: Dozens of local vendors will show off their arts and crafts in the Midtown Global Market for a two-day shopping event. Dec. 4-6: Frank & Eileen and Clare V cash & carry event @ Grethen House: Two L.A. designer brands come to Grethen House for this exclusive event. Clare V makes French-inspired bags and accessories, while Frank & Eileen’s clothing merges Italian fabrics with California aesthetics. Throughout the weekend, their Fall/Winter collections will be available at both Grethen House locations during the shop’s regular hours. Dec. 5-6: A MANO Holiday Pop-up at Forage Modern Workshop: With A Mano, local photographer Louisa Podlich showcases handmade works by several Minnesota artists. The third annual event takes over home décor hotspot Forage Modern Workshop for a pop-up arts market. Dec. 5 & 6: Julmarknad Christmas Market At American Swedish Institute: Among a drove of locally driven shopping events this season, this authentic Nordic market stands out. While you choose from authentic Scandinavian pottery, glass and woodenware, and apparel, you can try European cuisine. The menu includes glögg, a mulled wine; Swedish meatballs; and hot cider. Bring the kids for some slöjd, or handcrafted, art making and story time. Admission to the market includes admittance to ASI’s museum and holiday exhibits.
