This post is so very “if you build it, they will come”: Mall of America just announced a passel of new designer stores opening in its recently renovated, gleaming white South Avenue.
And they’re some goodies! The two I’m most excited about are Armani A/X, which will open this summer, and Michael Kors, which will open for fall (I’m hoping in time for fall fashion preview…) Michael Kors will offer his whole range–Michael Kors, KORS Michael Kors, and MICHAEL Michael Kors. That’s a lot of Michael Kors.
Also on the lineup: Stuart Weitzman, Naartjie Kids, and the retro-inspired Bettie Page. Desigual and Superdry also open on the first floor. Merrell Shoes and See’s Candies (the first year-round shop in Minnesota) have North addresses, but are also opening soon.
This news certainly must have bolstered the Mall’s commitment to renovation—East Broadway gets the star treatment next. I can’t wait to see what follows! I’ll keep you updated as I get peeks into the shops.
