Milly for Banana Republic: Win.

Published:

The Banana Republic/Milly collaboration has officially launched, and I'm more than a little obsessed. Best known for flirty, feminine pieces, featuring bold prints and bright hues while maintaining a kind of classic '60s vibe, Milly is the perfect partner for the graphic patterns and sleek lines found on the racks at Banana. Inspired by summertime in the Hamptons, the collection is chic and effortless.

While workplace-appropriate shift dresses are plentiful, there’s room for play in the collection as well, given the bold summer shades, colorful maxidresses, and a bevy of bright bags and chunky jewelry. Here are a few of my picks from the collection:

Breezy dresses allow for no-fuss summer outfits (above, right).

Colorful printed pencil skirts punch up a work wardrobe.

Roomy totes are perfect to carry to work or for strolling Saturday morning farmers’ markets.

Printed scarves help you stop shivering when you’re sitting under a blasting air-conditioning unit.

Guys aren’t left out of the fun: bright, crisp short-sleeve shirts will help him keep his cool as temperatures skyrocket.

Polo shirts get a boost from patterns that pop at the placket and collar.
