Rox Meets Rock

Score one for Robyne Robinson of Rox Jewelry: One of her pieces appears on the lovely, lovely, lovely and talented, talented, talented singer Channy Leaneagh of local indie darlings Poliça while she poses for photos for the June issue of Nylon magazine. The story features new artists who are “set for big things” in the musical world. (Esquire also recently includied the band’s “Lay Your Cards Out” in a “best songs of 2102” roundup.)

I love Rox’s high-drama pieces, which are mostly made from natural materials. This particular one hails from the Eco-necklace line and is made from harvested wood from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and carob leaves dipped in silver. “I don’t limit my designs to the expected—wood, leaves, shells, and fossils are all beautiful materials for jewelry. Nature provides so much to work with, besides the pearls and semi-precious stone Rox is known for,” Robinson said in a release. Kate Iverson, creative director at Permanent ADG said in the release, “We thought the natural and contemporary elements of Rox would juxtapose beautifully with the vibe we envisioned for the Poliça shoot.”

See for yourself:

Love this pairing of stylish ladies—getting the credit they deserve! Congratulations!
