Is Madewell Made Well?

Published:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing away summer (it's already going too fast!), but I am in the midst of planning fall issues. As such, I've found two items that are on my fall wishlist.

They're from Madewell, a J. Crew company, which does not yet have a brick-and-mortar store in the Twin Cities. (MOA, can you help us out with this?)But you can order online. Here are my two picks:

The Academy blazer, $169. I have a few velvet blazers, but I've always wanted a mens' style, shrunk to fit. This feels like The One.

Biker leggings, $99.

I know I always say I won't wear leggings (there's that whole rule about the second time around), but I do love these—and I can imagine them fitting into my fall wardrobe. Tucked into boots? So cute.

If you've ordered anything from Madewell's website, let me know. I'd love to know about quality and fit!
