It's Official: Zara Comes to Mall of America

UPDATE (11/11/16): Zara will officially open its doors on Wednesday, November 16.

It’s official: Zara is coming to the Mall of America. In January, job postings began to surface announcing hirings for a Zara store at the mall, but was unconfirmed by the mall until today’s announcement. The two-story, 30,000-square-foot store will be one of the high-profile additions to the mall’s new $325 million expansion on its north end, which also will include an Anthropologie store and the Twin Cities’ first Shake Shack. It will be the first store from the Spanish brand to open in Minnesota, and will also be one of Zara’s only flagship locations in the U.S.

“Zara is a global retail leader and we are very excited to have them as a partner at Mall of America,” said Liz McLay, SVP of Leasing at Mall of America, in a statement. “As another first-to-market concept at MOA, this worldwide brand is a testament to the continued demand for flagship concepts in the Twin Cities.”

Known for producing chic but trendy pieces inspired by big-name designers within weeks of major runway shows and a constantly rotating selection of goods, Zara is at the top of the fast-fashion game, and its quality is hard to beat for the prices (they’re in the H&M price range). The store, slated to open this holiday season, will feature women’s, men’s, and kid’s departments.
