Goodnight Moon Leaves 50th & France for New Location

After nearly two decades, Longtime 50th & France children’s boutique Goodnight Moon is on the move. Having closed its doors at the end of June in its previous storefront, the retailer is planning an August 15 reopening just down the street at the former Three Rooms space at 4388 France Avenue South in Edina. Owner Deborah Damian says the new store will be larger and have a designated “tween” boutique within the store, as well as its own parking lot—a big win for busy moms. The shop is planning a grand reopening event tentatively slated for September 10, which will double as the launch of its new online store at goodnightmoonkids.com. When it was founded in 1998, the store sold clothing exclusively for infants and toddlers by European and classic American lines. Since then, the boutique expanded to sell children’s clothing through size 10. Goodnight Moon also carries an extensive layette line and unique baby gifts, and offers monogramming and personalization services.

In other 50th & France news, Shop in the City has been confirmed to take over the former J. Novachis space.
