Weekend Salesplosion

There’s some seriously good shopping sales this weekend, so let’s get right to it, shall we?

Starting, oh, right about NOW is the annual No Coast Craft O Rama. Held at the Midtown Global Market today and tomorrow, you’ll find some of the best crafters and artists in town, booths chock-full of wares for your holiday shopping list. I say this every year, and I mean it: you can find something for everyone on your list at this event. And sure, you might see some of their goods around town at local boutiques, but the shows are a great way to actually meet the artists and ask questions, and the artists take home more of a percentage than they would somewhere else. It’s truly one of my favorite events of the year. (Plus, good food in the food court—yum yum!) 3 p.m.-8 p.m. today, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. tomorrow, Midtown Global Market, 2901 Chicago Ave. S., Mpls.

Also happening now: The annual Sequin/Badgley Mischka jewelry sample sale at the International Market Square. I feel like it’s still this closely held secret that the sisters behind the fabulous Sequin jewelry (and designers for Badgley Mischka and even some Ralph Lauren) jewelry, Linda and Kim Renk, are from here! So head on over to get 50 to 80 percent off the regular retail prices you’d pay at Henri Bendel, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and the like. (To give you an idea, their jewelry usually retails between  $40 and $800). Just make sure you stop at the ATM first: this sale is cash only. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today; 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow. International Market Square, 275 Market St., Mpls.

If you’re anything like me, you love yourself some Minnetonka Moccasins, especially this time of year. And they are still right on trend. So it’s the perfect time tomorrow to buy one, get one 50 percent off at Love From Minnesota at the Mall of America. Get there between 1 and 4 p.m. to scoop up the deal and register to win a grand prize that includes a pair of fringe boots (I love mine), a pair of mukluks, and a pair of moccasins. Purchases also get a free moccasin keychain.

And then, this isn’t so much an event as it is an ongoing lovely holiday showcase, but if you love Nelle handbags, it’s time you get over to see her show room within the L’Atelier bridal show room. Designer Laura Nelli has stocked it up with all sorts of new goodies, including her new starlight box clutch (want want want! — pictured at upper right), her Leopold Day Tote, and even a Shimmer + Shine vintage-inspired necklace. And then there’s the yummier-than-yummy fragrance she designed in collaboration with Virga Botanicals, One of Two. It’s a mix of pink lotus blossom, ylang ylang, citrus, basil, and sandalwood. Is this a hint of what’s to come with the future of Nelle handbags? One could only hope (more Nelle is better, I say)! L’Atelier is open tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
