Spring in Minnesota is an exciting time. We’re ready to shed that extra layer of clothing and hit the shops for some wardrobe updates. This year I decided to take it to a new level and get mini-makeover for spring. I spent an entire rainy Saturday with my friends at Juut Salonspa getting pampered. It was so refreshing and relaxing! I had a facial and massage, plus a bayalage (hand-painted color) treatment and makeup session.
I have never dyed my hair before, so I was pretty excited for even the smallest change. But colorist Santa Fe Gates did right by me. (Jen Hughes did the gorgeous styling.) I never thought I would say this, but I have to admit that a little bit of blonde is definitely more fun! Not to say I’d ever stray from my naturally brunette locks, but the balayage treatment was just the change I needed. Pair the new ‘do with a bright coral lip, and I felt totally made over. Just a few small changes is all it takes to shake things up!
I also fell in love with a few new products during my visit: Aveda Lip Treatment and Pure Abundance Hair Potion. Both will be hard-working tools in my beauty arsenal.
