Fall Nicollet Makers Market:
The organizers of the St. Paul Craftstravaganza and the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District are behind this semi-annual event, which features handmade goods from more than a dozen top local makers. Shop Christopher Straub’s children’s books and plush animals, Idlewilde’s natural soy wax candles, Bodylish bath bombs and lotion bars, Mademoiselle Miel chocolates, Elixery’s vegan lipstick, and more. The event coincides with 2 | 4 Tuesdays, a happy hour featuring street performances, fitness workshops, and drinks, with deals at Brit's, Brasa, the Local, and other bars in the area. Fisher + Baker x Big City Mountaineers Event:
Minneapolis brand Fisher + Baker specializes in stylish yet functional menswear designed to take its wearer from the boardroom to the ballgame. This week, the brand hosts a charity event in support of its partner, Big City Mountaineers., a nonprofit that is devoted to changing young lives through wilderness mentoring. Visit Fisher + Baker’s Minneapolis headquarters for a raffle featuring the brand’s products and retail partner donations, complimentary beer and wine, and special guests from Big City Mountaineers. Karen Gilbert Jewelry Trunk Show:
The work of California-based jeweler and sculptor Karen Gilbert is more akin to wearable art than your typical jewelry. The artist takes inspiration from forms found in nature and science, with circular, looping shapes that look like everything from swirls of algae to galactic bursts of neutrons, rendered in sterling silver, stainless steel, enamel, and glass beads. The artist’s work will be on view and available for sale during this trunk show event; bubbles and treats will be provided. Mya Lambrecht Jewelry Fall Trunk Show:
Minneapolis jewelry designer Mya Lambrecht makes her debut at St. Paul’s Atelier957 boutique with this fall trunk show of more than 100 unique pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Lambrecht’s work is a blend of functional and once-living objects, combining old washers, coins, and bike chains, along with tusks, teeth, and vertebrae for a look that is raw and edgy yet sophisticated. dugo's Fall Trend Seminar & Fundraising Event:
Hear about current fall trends and how they can work for you from New York-based fashion insider Gregor Simmons during dugo’s fall trend seminar and fundraising event. Simmons, who has worked as an independent buying consultant for more than 20 years, will present fall fashion ensembles from dugo’s women’s designer collections and offer mini personal styling sessions during this event, which raises funds for the PROP food shelf. Wilson & Willy’s Cellar Sessions: Greg Grease:
North Loop retailer Wilson & Willy’s kicks off its Cellar Series with a special performance by Zuluzuluu’s Greg Grease. The evening also features a pop-up shop with records from Flashlight Vinyl, live screenprinting by Phenom Print Studio, and the chance to view the latest fall goods from Wilson & Willy’s and the relaunch of Minneapolis-based brand Northwestern Knitting Co., which returns with a full run of its original luxury basics collection and several new styles.
