Celebrate with Spirits

All five senses may lead me day-to-day, but when it comes to travel, it’s smell and taste that rule. The perfect meal (Rome, pasta!), or my favorite glass of wine (Austria, Riesling!) is just as memorable as an amazing view.

Wonderfully, Minneapolis alone is home to Finnegans, Harriet Brewing, Fulton, and Indeed Brewing. Cross the river or head out-state and there are many more breweries, not to mention vineyards that are producing hardy vines and unique wines (think Cannon River Winery, St. Croix Vineyards, and more) that are making strides in the wine world and joining ranks with this state’s ever-developing adult beverage identity.

spiritsAnd what’s great is there are all sorts of tours and tastings and special menus in and around the Twin Cities to make a personalized culinary tour of this great state easy, but if you’re around this Thursday, November 29, the focus moves to spirits, and it’s a night you won’t forget: the greats are coming together at Mill City Nights from 6-9 p.m. to offer up samples, cocktails, and instruction that will give you an amazing, varied taste of Minnesota (and possibly the need for a ride home via Uber).
