“Arthur’s World” Opens at the Minnesota Children’s Museum

On sunny summer days, keeping antsy children entertained is easy—we’ve got more than 10,000 lakes for that, of course. When it comes to overcast afternoons, however, we Minnesotans are always searching for fun local activities to keep our children busy. As a nanny, when the kids get sick of the pool, I too find myself racking my brain for things to do with the little ones. Fortunately, the Minnesota Children’s Museum is a wonderful rainy day (or any day) option, and their new exhibit opens June 13.

The exhibit, titled “Arthur’s World,” features the characters and settings from the beloved PBS Kids show “Arthur.” With a variety of exciting, hands-on activities, this exhibit is perfect for younger children.

In “Arthur’s World,” your child will have the opportunity to appear on TV with his or her favorite characters, take Baby Kate on a stroll through Elwood City, explore life under a microscope in Mr. Ratburn’s classroom, cook up a Grandma Thora special in the Read kitchen, challenge Arthur and friends to a spelling bee and more!

So the next time your kids are itching to get out of the house, or you realize that they have spent far too much time in front of the TV, head over to the Minnesota Children’s Museum for “Arthur’s World” and all of the other fascinating exhibits the museum has to offer. Let them learn and discover new things, and combat your kids’ boredom with educational exploration.
