Put on by Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer returns for its fourth year. This weeklong event, taking place May 9-15, will feature brewery and brewpub experiences, including special beer releases, tap takeovers on the North Shore, and more.

We listed just a few of the nearly 200 events we are looking forward to this year. You only have 10,000 minutes for Minnesota Craft Beer Week—don’t miss a single second.


Minneapolis

May 9: Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub featuring Hammerheart Brewing: Meet and greet with the people behind the beer from 5-7 p.m., and enjoy a mini tap takeover with Hammerheart Brewing. (5 p.m., Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub, 2716 E. 38th St., Minneapolis)

May 10: Fulton Beer vs. Insight Brewery Takeover: Fulton and Insight go head-to-head in a full takeover to kickoff Craft Beer Week. Insight lineup includes Trollway, Hell Chicken, Devils companion, Lambton Dragon, Sunken City, Phantom Taxi IPA, Golden Ale, and Battering Ram (export stout). Fulton lineup includes: Lonely Blonde, Sweet Child of Vine, Ringer Pale Ale, 300 IPA, Insurrection IPA, War and Peace Coffee Stout, Randonneur Session Saison, and Expat Rye Saison. May 11: LynLake Brewery Barrel Aged Release Party: Beers to be announced. (5-11 p.m., LynLake Brewery, 2934 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis)  

May 12: Fulton Tap Invasion at Red Cow 50th and France: Fulton will be tapping a whole bunch of kegs. Red Cow and Fulton will donate a portion of the night’s sales to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. (4-11 p.m., Red Cow, 3624 W. 50th St., Minneapolis)

May 13: Bad Weather Tap Takeover at Iron Door Pub: The takeover will serve up to four different beers on tap that are exclusive to their taproom. Hang with some of the Bad Weather crew and drink delicious special release beers: American Wheat, Tippin’ it Down, Sour Ominous, and Mammatus Milk Stout. (6-9 p.m., Iron Door Pub, 3001 Lyndale Ave., Minneapolis)

May 14: Boom Island Brewing Pints & Pups: Grab a local pint and support a local pup! Boom Island Brewing hosts its second Pints & Pups fundraising event for local dog adoption and fostering agencies. The event will feature seven local rescue organizations as well as several local vendors. (1-9 p.m., Boom Island Brewing, 2014 Washington Ave., Minneapolis)

May 15: Bauhaus/Fair State Collaboration Beer Release: Bauhaus Brew Labs and Fair State Brewing Cooperative teamed up in their love of lager to create a Helles beer. (All day event starting at 12 p.m., Fair State Brewing Co-op, 2506 Central St., Minneapolis)


St. Paul

May 10: Urban Growler Meet the Brewer Tours: Meet the Urban Growler Master Brewer and owner Deb Loch as she takes you on a tour of the facility. Tours will run every half hour. (5:30 p.m., Urban Growler Brewery, 2325 Endicott St., St. Paul)

May 10: Came in Like a Wrecking Barrel 2: Witness a battle of the Barrel Aged Beers of Lift Bridge, Indeed, and Surly—round two! (4 p.m., Half-Time Rec, 1013 Front Ave., St. Paul)

May 11: Tin Whiskers Brewing Co. Beer Themed Trivia Night: Come play a round of beer-themed house trivia. (7 p.m., Twin Whiskers Brewing Company, 125 E. 9th St., St. Paul)

May 14: Tin Whiskers Brewing Co. Yoga Nerd Morning + Beer: The perfect event to combine alcohol and your inner yogi. Space is limited, tickets available here. Includes a one-hour yoga session lead by in-house instructor, Emily, followed by a pint of Tin Whiskers beer (or soda). Please BYOM (Bring your own mat). Duluth

May 9: Bent Paddle Sping Fest at 7 West Taphouse Duluth: Six beers on tap, including a specialty infusion and Double Shot Double Black. Giveaways and games to ensue. (5-9 p.m., 7 West Taphouse, 7 W. Superior St., Duluth)

May 10: Bent Paddle Beer Dinner at Breeze Inn: Enjoy five delicious courses paired with five Bent Paddle beers, including specialty pours. (6-9 p.m., Breeze Inn, 5168 Jean Duluth Rd., Duluth)

May 11: Indeed and Beaver Island Present King Pin at Grizzly’s: Pinning a pin of ‘LSD’ Honey Ale with Chamomile, Cardamom, and organic vanilla bean against a pin of chocolate oatmeal stout from Beaver Island. (5-8 p.m., Miller Hill Grizzly’s, 1722 Miller Trunk Hwy, Duluth)

May 13: Thank Firkin It’s Friday at Sir Ben’s: Featuring specialty firkins and pins from Castle Danger, Bent Paddle, Lake Superior Brewing, and Tin Whiskers. Patio seating, if weather permits. (5-8 p.m., Sir Benedict’s Tavern, 805 E. Superior St., Duluth)


Stillwater

May 9: Maple Island Brewing Patio Takeover: Food trucks, live music, new brews, and outdoor seating. (5 p.m., Maple Island Brewing, 225 Main St., Stillwater)


Rochester

May 9: Forager Brewery Beer Release: Preserved Lemon Gose special beer release. (11 a.m.-11 p.m., Forager Brewery, 1005 6th St. NW, Rochester)

May 12: Tap the Firkin at Grand Rounds Brewpub: Grand Rounds is tapping its latest limited-release firkin. (3-11 p.m., Grand Rounds Brewpub, 4 Third St., Rochester)

May 14: Forager Brewery NAMI Pub Crawl: Partnering with Whistle Binkies Pub, the crawl will benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Each business participating will be make a $100 donation. (10 a.m.-4 p.m., Forager Brewery, 1005 6th St., NW, Rochester)


Shakopee

May 11: Badger Hill Brewing Company Flight Club: Four unique and rare beers, all in one flight. (3-10 p.m., Badger Hills Brewing Co., 4571 Valley Industrial Blvd. S., Shakopee)

May 13: Badger Hill Brewing Company Hosts O’Cheeze Food Truck: Come out to #FoodTruckFriday at Badger Hill Brewing Co. and try O’Cheeze’s favorite Badger Hill brews: Traitor IPA and Foundation Stout. (4:30-8 p.m., Badger Hill Brewing Co., 4571 Valley Industrial Blvd. S., Shakopee)
