Published:

A plethora of cafes, demonstrations, exhibitions, dances, and music will fill the Saint Paul RiverCentre starting today as a multitude of people come together to celebrate more than 90 ethnic groups. Serving as a unique opportunity to celebrate, learn, and share traditions and customs through food, music, arts, and dance from such a large scale of cultures, the Festival of Nations is an eye-opening cultural experience for any age.

As the largest multi-cultural event held in Minnesota, the Festival of Nations gives you the opportunity to appreciate cultures outside of your own. Step outside your comfort zone: try a new dish, learn a new dance or be inspired by a new genre of music. No matter your age, heritage, culture or previous experience, the Festival of Nations is a unique opportunity to become a more cultured and empathetic citizen as we move toward a more inclusive future.

Bring the kids, grab a friend, or, if you’re looking for an adult appealing date, new this year is Think Global, Party Local held on Friday night. Extended hours will host wine and beer tasting along with a lineup of fresh international music.

There’s something for everyone at this guaranteed educational and entertaining experience—who knows, maybe you’ll discover your love for Pakistani curry or Chilean music? So start planning your trip around the world without traveling too far at all!

Tip: MetroTransit is offering free rides to the festival—download your pass online.
